Regulations for the Protection of Domestic Animals in the
City of Guanajuato require that pet owners:

    Treat pets with dignity and respect.
    ●Provide them with adequate food and hygienic conditions.
    ●Provide them with an ID tag that includes such information
    as the pet’s name, and name and address of the owner.
    ●Vaccinate dogs and cats and treat them for parasites at
    least once a year.
    ●Control them when taking them out in public, removing
    their excrement and using a leash.
    ●Prevent them from damaging or dirtying others’ or public
    property.
    ●Give them medical attention if they become ill or are
    injured. In the event of a pet’s death, take the body to the
    Animal Control Center.
    ●Sterilize your pets to prevent overpopulation of dogs and
    cats.
    ● If you are not able or no longer want to keep a pet, take it
    to the Animal Control Center for adoption.
To Report Abuse
