On Sunday, May 27, the Amigos Board of Directors hosted a brunch for our sterilization campaign volunteers to thank them for their service to our organization over the past year. The brunch took place at Chandra’s Cocina on Paseo de la Presa, where the restaurant offers a pleasant outdoor dining experience next to the restored 19th-century house called the Victoriana. Parfaits of fresh fruit, granola, and yoghurt, homemade carrot- and ginger-flavored muffins, quiche, coffee, and fruit juice were served.
Fifteen people attended the leisurely event, including board members and their spouses who were present in Guanajuato. Amigos President Tom Reavley thanked the volunteers for their valuable support, and the volunteers were each given one of our recently designed tee shirts as a token of our appreciation. The tee shirts display a whimsical dog and cat dancing and the motto “La mascotas esterilizadas viven más felices.”
