Our education specialist, Tony López Palacios, was invited to give a talk at a commemoration of International Women’s Day sponsored by the University of Guanajuato on March 8. Her talk, entitled “Cambiando mi entorno” (Changing my environment), focused on her career as an educator, her advocacy for animal protection, and her work as a rescuer. Tony is not only active in Amigos de los Animales, but also the founder of Colectivo Guindi’s (Guanajuato Unión de Independientes), a local animal rescue group that organizes adoption activities in the city. She invited members of the audience to become volunteers in support of our organizations’ missions.
