Okay, so you’re not into social media and you don’t follow us on Facebook or Instagram. But you may find our educational posts, which we publish twice a week, worth seeing.  They are created by Joslyn Lewis, Amigos treasurer, who is also a graphic designer, to mention just one of her many talents. Here are some of her recent posts.

Mixed-breed dogs are very special. Each one is unique.
A sterilized dog doesn’t fight and doesn’t die after being run over while chasing a female dog in heat.
These foods are harmful to your dog: chicken bones, chocolate, onions, grapes and raisins, avocados, alcohol, milk.
It’s the same dog. But a different owner.
To have kittens is to be responsible for them.
To neglect his fur is also mistreatment.
When it rains, bring your dogs indoors.
Adopt, don’t buy, your dog or cat. Adopted pets are the best.
Avoid having your pets escape out of fear of fireworks.
To poison an animal is inhumane and criminal. Report poisoning cases to CECAA [the city’s Animal Control and Assistance Center] (473 733 4839).
A male dog or cat can impregnate many females each day. Avoid homeless litters by sterilizing your male pets.
Animals are not litter, to be thrown away.
Don’t abandon me when I grow old.
I work hard for you. Please treat me well.

I’m not a toy. Don’t get a kitten if you don’t want to have an adult cat.
A roof is not a place to live. Bring them indoors.
All of us like to play. But with caution!
Leave her alone when she’s eating or sleeping.
